FIREARMS CLASSES TAUGHT BY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS

Our Colorado firearms training curriculum for handgun, shotgun, and rifle is far more in-depth than most courses. Our instructors, with extensive police and military experience, offer practical insight into legal considerations, including what to do if you’re contacted by law enforcement while armed or involved in a self-defense incident. We also provide comprehensive self-defense classes, and our staff has years of experience teaching both handgun and rifle classes, ensuring a high-quality, professional learning environment for those pursuing a concealed carry permit.

FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO IMPROVE THEIR SHOOTING SKILLS

We welcome both total beginners and experienced shooters in every class. Our firearms training takes a patient, step‑by‑step approach with new shooters to ensure a positive, confidence‑building experience. Even seasoned shooters consistently learn something new through our self-defense classes. All of our firearms classes meet the state’s training requirement for obtaining a concealed carry permit.

Concealed Carry Classes at Concealed Carry Academy of Colorado

Concealed Carry Academy of Colorado is fully compliant with the new permit-training law effective July 1, 2025. Our firearms training curriculum includes essential topics such as safety, marksmanship, reloads, malfunctions, close-quarters self-defense, one-handed shooting, verbal-command drills, and much more. We also provide a comprehensive legal section and guidance on holster selection to help you obtain your concealed carry permit. The cost is $250 for the initial class and $200 for repeat students and permit renewals.

Concealed Carry Classes at Concealed Carry Academy of Colorado

Upon completion of the firearms training class, you will be issued a Certificate of Completion. You will submit this certificate to the Sheriff’s Office in the county where you reside and complete their required process, which includes fingerprints, a background check, and fees. Once approved by your Sheriff, you will receive your concealed carry permit, allowing you to carry a weapon for self-defense.

The Next Steps

Once you select your class for firearms training and payment is received, you will receive a confirmation email outlining your purchase details, including your concealed carry permit class date, time, and location. We operate at two locations—Franktown and Kiowa—and classes, including self-defense classes, will be held in Franktown unless otherwise specified.
